Support for Eternus hardware

Eternus, the Latin word for eternal or without end, is a range of SAN products of medium to enterprise class storage. The entry level DX60 S2 supports dual controllers, 2.5" or 3.5" SAS and NL-SAS disks and a maximum raw capacity of approximately 70TB and host connectivity via 4Gbps fibre channel, 1Gbps iSCSI and 3Gbps SAS. The DX440 S2 expands significantly on the DX60 S2, with 16Gbps fibre channel connectivity, 10Gbps FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) and iSCSI and a maximum raw capacity of approximately 1900TB. SSD support is also available including self encrypting drives (SED). With fully redundant hardware including RAID controllers (dual controller models only) and power supplies, the Eternus storage solutions from Fujitsu are designed to maintain data access.

Whilst the S2 series of Eternus storage platforms have already reached their End of Life (EoL) dates, they are far from being obsolete.  With NL-SAS disk and RAID 6 options available, an Eternus system could be repositioned as a robust archiving platform.
